At 290TX Wine Tours, our goal is to provide reliable, timely, and safe transportation in Fredericksburg and the surrounding area. Whether you are looking for a ride to local shopping or just need a ride to the many tourist locations in the area, you can be assured to have the best transportation experience.

Yes! If you choose a private/custom tour, you may choose any winery/brewery/cidery/distillery that is open to the public or we can curate a custom tour based on your groups tastes. Please keep in mind, some venues require appointments several weeks in advance, and we cannot guarantee their availability. Most wineries allow “drop-in” tastings without an appointment as long as your group size is six or less. If you have a larger group, or plan on visiting more exclusive wineries, then we must make arrangements with the wineries well in advance.
Our tours book up 2 to 3 weeks in advance. If you’re interested, we suggest you book as soon as possible.
Our exclusive tours last approximately 4-5 hours, which allows time for stops at 3-4 different wineries and/or breweries depending on group size, tour package purchased and winery locations, but we are always more than happy to accommodate your travel schedule to add additional time for a small fee. Each itinerary is fully customized based on your requests.
We will pick your group up from your accommodations in town. If you are staying out of the city limits of Fredericksburg, we will make arrangements to pick you up for a small additional fuel fee. We can also meet and pick your group up from the Fredericksburg Visitor Center located at 302 E Austin St., Fredericksburg, TX 78624. Please arrive 20 minutes prior to tour departure to allow us time to load up and leave on time.
Your voucher (either electronic or paper copy), Government ID, credit/cash for tasting fees and purchases, weather appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and your sense of adventure!
Tours run rain, shine or snow. We ask that you check the weather forecast and dress accordingly if inclement weather is predicted.
Typically 45 minutes to 1 hour.
This varies by winery but normally plan on tasting about 5 different wines. Each tasting contains approximately 2 ounces of wine.

Absolutely not! But thanks for asking.
Plans can change due to unforseen circumstances. We get it. So we’re happy to provide a hassle-free refund minus a 20% service charge for cancellations within 14 days of your tour date. We are a small, family-owned company so sadly, we cannot provide refunds on cancellations made 13 days or less from your tour date. However, if we are able to fill your tour slot, you will receive a refund minus the 20% service charge.
